Hair Removal
S.H.R – Stands for Super Hair Removal, its a step forward in permanent hair reduction. Utilising the latest evolution in Laser & IPL technologies.
How does SHR work?
How SHR works, is a revolutionary approach, rather that bombarding your skin with high amounts of Joules ( energy ), SHR fires multiple shots but at low Joules, in doing so it gently heats the hair follicle to the heat needed and the most you will feel is warmth and a tingling sensation, some clients comparing it to a warm massage. SHR also utilizes In-Motion technology, where the hand piece is always in motion over the skin.
Is SHR suitable for all skin types?
SHR is suitable for all skin types, even tanners, this is achievable because of the technology and techniques utilized. Unlike traditional Laser and IPL , SHR can be had all year round without having to hide from the sun.
How many treatments are needed.?
To fully treat the area you may require 4-6 treatments at four week intervals. A four week regime is important to maintain so that the SHR treatments get the hair at its four week re-growth. Near the end of the treatments 6-8 week intervals will be needed to finish off your course.
IPL for hair removal is fairly effective, there is nothing wrong with it , IPL has certain limitations , slower speed , it is still safe and effective.
IPL – Hair Removal
How does (IPl+RF) work? The treatment works by targeting the melanin (pigment) in the hair with the light from the system, and upon absorption the light is converted into heat. This intense heat action breaks down the hair follicle, reducing the opportunity for any re-growth and also changing the entire structure of the follicle itself; overtime altering the density and appearance of the hair until it becomes unnoticeable.
How many session do I need? Hair grows in three different cycles and the IPL Permanent Hair Reduction can only successfully treat hair during its growth stage. Therefore it is often necessary to undergo a course of 6-8 treatments ensuring that you leave at least 4 weeks between each session initially, and then only repeat as and when the hair returns. About 7 days after your treatment hair will start to shed. During this period it will appear that the hairs are growing as the epidermis is pushing them out. Between treatments hair may be shaved, but not plucked or waxed. We recommend you keep out of strong sunlight throughout the course of your treatment and always use SPF (sun protection factor) 30 on the areas you are having treated. Future top up treatments may be required.
Pigmentation / Age spots / Freckles Removal
IPL targets pigmented lesions by breaking down the melanin (pigmentation) in your skin. For optimum results 3-6 treatments are needed at 4 week intervals. Top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.
Rosacea / Facial Redness
By using IPL and absorbing superficial blood vessels in the skin, this treatment can be used to diffuse redness and high colour. For optimum results 3-6 treatments are needed at 4 week intervals. Top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.
